Meet Leah
Welcome! I’m Leah.
I’m a life long learner, connector of people, and woman who finds joy in small moments. I find inspiration in the beauty of nature, the energy of vibrant communities, and the ongoing pursuit of uncovering my most authentic self.
I am also a certified life coach, licensed therapist, and couples counselor - and I’m so excited to connect with you.
My deep desire to understand myself and the people around me is what led me to begin my journey to the world of therapy and coaching. Through my professional training, diverse clinical experience, and personal healing journey, I discovered my desire to devote my time and energy to support and empower others to believe in themselves, build healthy relationships, and create a world where they feel safe, authentic, and recognized.
With compassion, warmth, and a little humor, I’ll meet you right where you are today, while guiding you on the journey ahead. Every step of the way, I’ll be your biggest supporter as you learn to live and love relationally.
Throughout my life, I have enjoyed working with individuals one-on-one, listening to their stories, learning about their greatest desires, and understanding their hopes of forging deep and meaningful connections with others. I used to say that I “fell” into the world of therapy, but looking back (and with the guidance of my own therapists and teachers), I realized that getting into this field was no coincidence. I was seeking a deeper understanding of myself, my relationships, as well as the world that I am trying to navigate through. My own healing journey has built the foundation of compassion and care I hold for all of my coaching clients.
Early in my career, I worked with a wide range of populations, including children in residential treatment, incarcerated adults, and in-home family therapy clients. I practiced in various modalities such as family systems, trauma treatment, and couples therapy. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of how to create safety and connection, support effective trauma healing, and recognize how our relationship dynamics and histories shape our present-day lives.
I now specialize in coaching highly motivated adults and couples who want to strengthen their connection and cultivate a sense of internal safety and support as they navigate life. My work focuses on helping clients understand how their attachment history, relationship dynamics, and societal messages shape both present-day experiences and past choices. In our sessions, we work to heal trauma, untangle the complexities of insecure attachment, and build a strong relational sense of self. The tools I bring into our work together are grounded in evidence-based approaches and deeply attuned to the relational and emotional complexity each client or couple brings.
My Work with Clients
My coaching work with couples and individuals is grounded in my clinical background and informed by training in the following approaches:
Relational Life Therapy (RLT)
Gottman Method Couples Therapy
Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy
Parts Work (Internal Family Systems)
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
As we delve into deeper layers of healing, it's essential to recognize that some of you may be drawn to explore alternative pathways to healing and self-discovery. This is where the integration of psychedelic experiences can play a transformative role.
Psychedelic Integration Coaching supports clients (individuals and couples) who are preparing for or integrating psychedelic experiences. Healing our past and meeting ourselves in the depths of our pain is one of the most courageous things we can do. As we continue to learn more about the healing potential of psychedelic and plant medicines, particularly in working with trauma, these experiences can open profound paths to growth. Through my own experiences, ongoing research, and witnessing meaningful transformation in others, I’ve become deeply inspired by the role psychedelics are beginning to play in this work.
That said, without proper preparation, set, setting, and integration, psychedelic experiences can sometimes feel overwhelming or traumatizing. I’m passionate about helping clients navigate these experiences with intention and care. Whether you're integrating past psychedelic work or preparing for an upcoming experience, coaching can provide a safe, grounded, and trauma-informed space.
